The wind as the game sees it
GFS at 0.25°, the game's own model, as each run comes out and read the way the game reads it. Five more models to compare. Isobars, highs and lows, clouds, rain, temperature.
Five days in about a second
Polars, sails, foils, penalties and stamina as the game counts them. Gates, restricted zones and the coast kept to. Every race with its course.
A route, as orders
Whole-degree headings and TWAs with their times: the handful of orders a player really enters. Program them and let the boat sail while you sleep.
The weather as you have never seen it in a router
An animated globe with the wind flowing across it, isobars drawn like a weather map, clouds and rain, down to the harbour's coastline. Then make it yours: light or dark, globe or flat, particles or barbs, your layers, your units, your keys.

Keep the wind in the sails
VSRouter is made by one player, in the evenings, and it is free for everyone. The weather storage, the domain and the builds cost real money every month. No ads, no account, no paywall: just you. If it has won you a few places, a beer keeps it going.
A route, a short list of orders.
VSRouter gives you what you type into the game's programming: a few whole-degree headings and TWAs with their times, the sail beside each.
- Steered in whole degrees, the way the game takes them, with a price on every change of order: fewer orders, same arrival.
- Tacks and sail changes marked where they fall, so the penalties and the stamina are in the route.
- Waypoints at the marks, where the game turns at the waypoint itself.
Connect the game
A small browser extension reads your own boat in your own game tab and hands it to the app on the same computer. The router then starts from where your boat really is, with its sail, options and stamina. Optional: the app works without it.
Add the extension
One click from the Chrome Web Store, for Chrome, Brave and Opera.
Add to Chrome- Chrome
- Brave
- Opera
- Edge, Firefox, Safari: later
Open the game
In the same browser, in a window of its own. Reload its tab once after installing.
Follow your boat
The app's follow button lights up green as your boat comes, and the router leaves from where it is.

The race in your pocket
Coming soon, if you buy me enough beers.
Check the wind at the bus stop, route again at lunch, program the night before bed. The same app on iPhone and Android, with the weather cut to your race's region so that a run is a few megabytes.
Fair play, by design
VSRouter reads public weather and the game's public race list. It never connects to the game, never sends it anything, never steers your boat. It gives you orders; entering them is yours to do.
- The extension reads your own boat, in your own tab, and hands it to the app on your computer. Nothing else leaves your browser.
- No account. This site sets no cookies.
- The app sends no usage statistics: your position, your routes, your boat and your name stay on your computer.
No account to create, no card to enter, nothing to unlock. Install it, pick your race, feel the wind.
